James Guiang Co-Founder, Board Member,  Regional Director for E.U

James 'Jim' Guiang is an Executive Board Member and Managing Director for E.U. of Saudi Crown Holding.  He is a geophysicist who began his professional life in the oil industry at Exxon, and had a proven track record in finding oil & gas at Amerada Hess and Conoco.

During the past 20 years Jim has been an investment manager specialising in international oil & gas industry equities; as well as a principal in private equity, M&A, merchant banking, and corporate finance transactions.  More recently (2006-12), Jim was Managing Director-Natural Resources at Millennium Global Investments Ltd. with responsibilities as an investment manager and an advisor to several of Millennium's hedge and private equity funds.

Currently he is Chairman of Capital Terranova (Private Equity in Africa) and a Non-Executive Director of SouthWest Energy (Ethiopia).

James is a graduate of the Choate School, Boston College (BSc in Geophysics & Geology) and Boston University (MSc in Business Administration); and was a visiting student at the Colorado School of Mines and an Executive Programme post graduate in Corporate Finance at the London Business School.
